The FT636 IP interface has been developed to remote control a radio base station or a repeater interface through VoIP (Voice over IP) and RoIP (Radio over IP), so that almost endless distances can be bridged. Because audio data and control data are converted to TCP/IP over Ethernet, each local area network (LAN) or the internet can be used for the transmission. Hereby it is not necessary to use expensive leased-lines any more, making significant cost savings possible.

  • The FT636 IP interface is pin- and function compatible with the FT634a-C/NL line interface.
